Beijinhos, sempre vossa

Marta

Dear everyone

I spent a truly Holy Week. Without catheter, fever, analyses, transfusions, medications and the likes… it felt fantastic! I was able to play at ease and take advantage of the fact that my brothers and sisters were on vacation. It is great that we are a few of us because we had great fun. We ended up laughing like crazy at the simplest of things. So for me, it was like heaven on earth...

And you know what? On Sunday, our Jesus resurrected, overcame death, His and mine, and my joy has no end! I was able to go to Mass sing alleluias and my heart overflows with happiness. Today, once again, I received that greatest of gifts, the gift of Peace. That Peace which only the Prince of Peace can bring, which is rooted in Him who is God and became one of us, who loved us till death and death on the cross, and who resurrected never to die again!

In Peace, I shall go back to the hospital next Tuesday 25th to get a general anesthesia and have that micro-surgery done which is the placing of a catheter. Then, I’ll start the fifth chemotherapy... I’ll spend all the rest of the week in the hospital and on Sunday 30th I hope to write from home where I shall wait for the zeroing of the data.

Till then, like myself, do enjoy the rebirth that is offered us again this year, fresh, full of light, peace and joy. Kisses, yours truly,

Marta
